Dr. Zapantis has participated in many FSHP student-related activities including:
Serving as FSHP Nova Southeastern University Faculty Advisor from 2005 to 2015
Serving as FSHP Student Council Vice-Chair, Chair, Board Liaison
Presenting on mentoring programs at the Florida Residency Opening Session in 2014
Updating the structure and duties of the Student Council
Developing student programming for the Annual Meeting for more than 5 years
Assisting FSHP with student and new practitioner engagement
Developing and coordinating the Student Quiz Bowl competition at the Annual Meeting,
Working with the FSHP Foundation to create a Clinical Skills Competition for the students
Developing criteria for Student Director Board Member application.
Assisted with appointment process, developed job responsibilities, and mentored Student Directors during term.
Mentoring student members and recruiting them to join as new practitioners through student presentations at various schools of pharmacy.
Developing guidelines for Student Chapter awards.
Identifying students who qualified for the Paul Magalian Scholarship Award. Wrote letters of recommendation on behalf of these students.

Contributor to the Legal and Regulatory activities. She has participated in FSHP legislative conference calls, representing pharmacists by participating in Florida Legislative Days in Tallahassee, Florida, and visiting with local state legislators to promote FSHP legislative agenda. She also shared these activities in various social media outlets.
