Opportunities for Involvement
FSHP has numerous opportunities for our members to volunteer their time to aid with FSHP's programs and agenda throughout the year. For additional information on any of the following opportunities contact the FSHP office at fshp@fshp.org.
FSHP Councils, Committees and Task Forces
Volunteer your time to a FSHP Council, Committee or Task Force. These groups plan and are critical to the operation of the Society throughout the year. An official call for volunteers is conducted annually in the spring and the selection process occurs in June of each year. Visit About Us/Councils for additional information about each Council, Committee, and Task Force which includes their current leadership and their role within the Society.
FSHP Leadership
The FSHP Board of Directors implement the programs the Councils, Committees, Task Force and staff develop throughout the year. Annually an official call for nominations is conducted in the spring, with the election occurring immediately following the FSHP Annual Meeting. Click here for a current listing of FSHP's leadership.
FSHP Speaker
FSHP, along with its affiliated Regional Societies look for experts in the field to speak on numerous topics throughout the year. A formal Speakers' Bureau will be implemented by January 2014. This system will allow members the opportunity to submit an online application to be considered as a speaker at a future FSHP and Regional Society meeting. Additional information will be available soon on this process.
Mentor Opportunities
FSHP will be implementing a mentoring program in the next couple of months. This will provide pharmacists the opportunity to guide students and new practitioners as they navigate through pharmacy school and into their first years of practice. Additional information will be provided in the next couple of months regarding this program.
Regional Society Officers
FSHP has 12 independent affiliated Regional Societies throughout the state. These Regional Societies service our members on a local level. Visit Regionals/Regional Societies to identify your regional society and their current leaders. You can contact their leadership directly for volunteer opportunities available in your area.
