FSHP 48th Annual Meeting (2014)
Navigating the Oceans of Opportunity
August 8-10, 2014
Hilton Bonnet Creek
The FSHP 48th Annual Meeting - Navigating the Oceans of Opportunity convened on Friday, August 8th and concluded on Sunday, August 10th at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, FL. Another successful meeting in the books! There were many contributions to the success of this meeting, excellent planning by the Educational Affairs Council providing quality continuing education, leadership and guidance by the FSHP Board of Directors, timely and efficient information distributed by the FSHP staff and dedicated and committed Council members of the Society who see this meeting as a premiere state association meeting.
All of these factors and strong support are the recipe for an experience worth repeating year-after-year.
Keeping our attendance over 1,000 has been a goal of the Society, and we hit the mark again this year! We would like to thank our returning pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and students and extend a WELCOME to those new members to the meeting. We hope that you too will see the benefits of this meeting and the benefits of being a member of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists!
Just a few tidbits:
- 97 Pharmaceutical Vendors
- 40 Poster Submissions
- A full day Pharmacy Student Track, over 200 students in attendance this year
- First-time Pharmacy Technician Discussion forum
- ASHP President Christene Jolowsky and ASHP President Elect John Armitstead were in attendance
- Over 140 Directors of Pharmacy attended the annual Directors’ Workshop
